Blue1 (http://www.blue1.fi) fly direct to Helsinki from a few London airports as far as I can remember and will fly indirect from some other UK airports... I remember that at least Birmingham, Manchester, and Newcastle were amongst the choices. Blue1 flights are usually in the realms of £100-200 if ...

If I can get off the barracks for that weekend I'll be there again... National service starts on the 9th of July so hopefully I can apply for personal leave... Surely they'll accept Team Finland tryouts as a reasonable excuse :)

I've chased an ostrich with my lacrosse stick... it was getting on my nerves so I threw a clump of mud and a tennis ball at it but it kept coming back for more, so eventually I flailed my stick around and started chasing the damn thing...

Is UEA v. Buckhurst Hill the only match that's actually going on this weekend that has a university side playing? I'm desperate to get back home to a clean house and good, regular meals too but it's one day out of the month-long Christmas break that most universities get... it's not that much to ask...

What's this about University teams not playing because of the end of term? I hope it's not like that all around... That's just not cool, after all, we already have a lax drought during Christmas, why make it longer? Hopefully Buckhurst Hill won't be the third team to postpone on us. We end on Friday...

East 1 Blues 2 vs Welwyn - I doubt it'll even be close. London Uni vs Cambridge Uni - London's gonna spend a lot of time defending. UEA vs Buckhurst Hill - It would be nice to see a surprising result in East 1 for a change... and supporting the opposition's like giving up before even playing. East ...

East 1 UEA v. Blues 2 was postponed. East 2 East Coast 10 - 1 East Grinstead 2: A bit of a surprise here, a close match was expected, but East Coast were pumped for the match and got involved straight away. After the first very physical quarter, which as I recall ended in a 0-0 tie, everyone was on...

UEA v. Blues 2 has apparently been postponed, they have 9 injured players or something or other... however we do already have a postponed match against Croydon so I'm not sure whether we'll be able to fit them into our busy schedule for a rematch :) ... does this mean a forfeit? If so we're dissapoi...

I can't really say much for the other leagues, but here's my predictions for the East. East 1 East Grinstead v Welwyn - It's gonna be a close game with a close win by Welwyn. Only 1 or 2 goals in it. Buckhurst Hill v Cambridge Uni - It should be a good match, but I think that the Buckhurst Hill atta...

who postponed it? the UEA V croyden match that is As far as I know, Croydon called early in the week and asked to postpone the match for a number of reasons. I don't deal with the paperwork, I just train and play :) Not too fussed about it, there's plenty of matches still to play, just a shame that...

East Coast 14 - 13 Hitchin A. Awesome match. The first quarter was evenly matched, but in the second and third quarters, Hitchin were dominating, scoring 3 consecutive goals while 2 East Coast players served 1 min. penalties. In the fourth, East Coast came from behind and were scoring from every ang...

Going for the knees is just reckless violence. Granted I have done it once, and it happened to be with a hickory shaft, but it wasn't intentional. I won't take out anyone's legs on purpose, but I will take them out with a full body check on a ground ball to make them think twice about how and when t...
