Re: Referees Trophy 2011 - Cheadle vs Stockport

U16 County won by Cheshire Sorry not sure of the score but i think by 3 Refs Trophy won by Stockport not sure of the score on this either The above comment just highlights the need for a scoreboard at all matches. Is it rocket science? I think not. Check out my post in mens rules "What's the s...

Re: European Club Championship 2011

As far as i have been informed, this is a club tournement therefore only club players are allowed. if the club have non eligible players they have to ask the tournement Committee for permission. That suggests the tournament committee might consider allowing it! If there is no rule or policing of th...

Re: How Old Will You Be in 2014

Still in the process of collating all the names - with clubs not really getting back together until now the old grapevine of information flow is just starting to get going. For example half the Bath Eights team are inthe right age bracket but they didn't know anything about it. There looks like the...

Re: Lacrosse Publicity

What an excellent & simple idea & a very constructive solution to all the bitching about lack of publicity for the game. Anyone out there feel like doing a similar job for the North? What look helpful on a CV for any budding young hacks or bloggers perhaps? Neil Goulding is no longer retaine...

Re: Referees Trophy 2011 - Cheadle vs Stockport

I wasn't paying that much attention to the game but I can tell you that Wilmslow have a lovely new car park - tarmac with painted lines and everything. About time that got sorted! Must have been done very recently considering that it was all still the old surface when I saw it a couple of months ag...

Re: European Club Championship 2011

Can anyone actually confirm who is competing in this tournament? I understand there are 6 entrants.

We had 8 last year at Wilmslow (but 5 of them were from the UK)

Re: European Club Championship 2011

I understand that Heaton Mersey have declined the invitation as they feel they were given inadequate notice to attend Amazing how clubs like Madrid that have been around for 5 minutes can attend again with no real hope of winning the tournament. 2 of our oldest & biggest clubs in the North have ...

Re: European Club Championship 2011

This is an ELF sponsored tournament that was originally driven by Ken Galluccio on their behalf. The format Ken introduced in 2008 ie league champions invited only with shortened round robin games on the Friday night/Saturday & full length games as Finals on the Sunday was continued in 2010 when...

Re: European Club Championship 2011

Latest info I have Stockport have formally withdrawn as they could not afford the cost of competing & time was running out to get commitment from their players I believe. NEMLA have invited Heaton Mersey as their reserve champions (ie runners up) to attend in Stockport's place. ELA & NEMLA a...

Re: Den Haag

Stuttgart beat Heaton Mersey in overtime to win the Bath 8's Tournament on Saturday. 3 Winnebagos & a desire to tour Europe has shown us all a new concept to a Lax Tour. I think more clubs will be doing this in the future as there are plenty of playing opportunities/tournaments now to organise a...
