Re: Shipping from America.
I queried this a few years ago and was directed to the following text: Custom Duty rates for specific products Customs Duty is charged as a percentage of the total value of the goods - that is the sterling equivalent of the price paid abroad. To work out the percentage, each type of product is given...

Re: SEMLA Structure for the 2012/13 Season
To add to Chillis post: a few years ago I was heavily involved with the Herts Comets uni team, we had a tough couple of seasons building a squad and did reasonably well in that short period. Hertfordshire as a University were very accomodating at the time and allowed non-uni or alumni members to con...

Sour is right, If the employee is not in a pension scheme the employer pays 13.8% NI contribution as well as any additional on costs usually between 3-10% (though in come cases total on costs can be 50%)
So conservatively 4 employees on about 26k would cost about 125k to the employer

Jack,
I'm fairly certain we're playing at Monks Walk School which is a grass pitch.
Cheers

I may be off the mark here but I think it could be because the opening track belongs to Disney, they are reknowned for enforcing copyright and I gather they're one of the main companies that worked with youtube to develop their scanning algorithms for copyrighted material - try changing that track a...

Re: Good face off head
I've been using a torque for the last 4 years, does exactly what I want in a FO head, nice profile, reasonable flex etc. Only downside is that I go through at least 1 a season. This isn't such an issue anymore as the original torque has come down in price but was a tad expensive for a while. I've no...

Re: Out of bounds question...
I don't think anyone is saying that the rules should be imposed without consideration for the circumstances, nor should referees apply the rules as if we're an automaton, calling up every infringement every minute of the game. However I do think that where oddball scenarios like this crop up, the ci...

Re: Out of bounds question...
Surely the end point of any rule set is to descriptive enough to prevent individual interpretation? The ideal set of rules should be black and White with zero grey area, if this is true the rule book should be amended to accommodate unusual and unexpected scenarios as when they are brought up during...

Jumping sideways a moment, as the Red stick is legally on the field is Black allowed to pick up the red stick with lodged ball and continue play (while gently placing his own stick on the ground in place of the Red stick), or would this be considered as impeding red from collecting his stick?

Re: Cascade Pro 7, CPX or CPX-R - the fit
replying to Morts post, I've had a CPX for about 4/5 years and just bought another - I've noticed that the new CPX fits quite tight across the temples as Mort describes and feels very similar to a teammates CPX-R. Could be that Cascade have changed the mold slightly, or that my older helmet has just...

Re: Concussions
just to chime in - I recnetly got hit quite hard on a side impact helmet to helmet contact. This didn't result in concussion but did result in a nice clean break to the jaw and a few chipped teeth from lower to upper jaw contact. If I can find a mouth guard that lets me breath easily enough then its...

With that Oregon kit the neon yello accents look quite good IMHO
BUT the neon socks and cleats should be left for pick up games and fun tourneys!

no support here - though as far as I'm aware there never was (for any club I mean, I know there never has been for Lax). I think insurance and drinking culture have been some of the reasons discussed.

I'm sure you would be more than welcome at any of the 3 teams you mention. I currently live just south of Milton Keynes and I play for Welwyn (having picked up the game playing for Hertfordshire Comets university team). The fact there are 3 teams at Welwyn is the primary reason I stayed with them - ...

Re: Butt end rules
Surely all rules, whether in place for safety or otherwise, should be enforced and upheld by the players in the first instance (especially for static, non gameplay related matters). If this is true then the Refs in this instance should be in place to penalise those who fail to read & react to th...
