If the rules are really gonna change then is there any of chance of an official warning going out to clubs. It is true this has been debated for at least the last 4 years. But any way you cut it there are a lot of passionate people out there who have just got into lax this year, don't they deserve a...

If this is the case how can you teach correct lacrosse technique and then pull people up for it in a game as a dangerous follow through becuase you initiate contact? This is an interesting point, I have often wondered about good ground ball technique. I believe that the correct technique is to plon...

Notice that you haven't got a reply so I'll give it a go although my suggestions are not legally binding. I would suggest in the situation that the goalie is not a fault. As the player with the ball he/she can pass it out from their crease in the normal fashion. I would consider that if the keeper h...

Totally agree! Staffs are in a very similar position. Their AU insures everyone for around £3 a person but still have to pay the affiliation fee. I appreciate that lacrosse as a minority sport has to fund development somehow but this doesn’t seen the fairest way to do it. I doubt that university wou...

Cheers for the offer craig. I think there was a couple of keen staffs players at the beginning of the year but someone mentioned that Keele players would have priorities for games, not much fun training when u may not get to play. I hope we can forge some goods links as we are so close especially in...

Not knowing the reason why it was cancelled, but I would of thought the most likely reason would be a pitch problem at Brum which would mean a walkover to Warwick if it wasn't played. This would suit me fine cause it would leave Staffs with the most goals for in the league - As we didn't win I need ...

Staffs played the postponed match against Nottingham today winning
17-3. Probably the most well natured game of lacrosse that I have played in this season, hats off to you Notts. Hope those with the flat tyre got home safely.

Contact in games is always a contentious issue. I have found that those that have played men’s/women’s before mixed find it very difficult to curve those tendencies. Although the rules may be clear on contact I don’t think I have seen any occasion when two players from different teams go for a...

Not wanting to restart the debate as I feel both sides have been arugued to the full but...... If a decision is going to be made to eliminate men's sticks in the game I kindly request that everyone is informed of the decision in the near future. I have requests from several freshers who have been us...

12/02/06 mixed games
Any results from today?
Staffs beat aston 11-10.
Aston played extremely well considering they didn't have any subs and were rotating who the goal keeper was.
Fresher inexperienced showed for staffs but experience is experience and I have high hopes for next yr!

Im not sure whether turning mixed into contact game is a good idea. But I do have to admit that I feel very sorry for the goal keepers in a mixed game. Not much they can do when someone runs up to the edge of your crease and shoots - checking would make it a bit easier for the goal keeper and more o...
