Re: Results - Saturday 19 March 2011
While we are slightly off topic, just a thought for next season if EG 'A' get promoted to Div 1 (note Maidstone can still clinch 2nd spot), that would put 5 x 2nd teams in Div 1; namely Blues, Reading, Spencer, Welwyn and EG. This would mean, in theory, an easy ride for the 3 other teams in the div...

Reading 2 v Spencer 2 Can I just understand this, please. So Spencer scored on three occasions and each time the Reading Captain called a stick check? Yes, one of Readings Captains called them (Not me), they only called three, all were succesful/correct calls. Why are stick checks being called? It ...

Re: Results 19/02/11
I had been having similar thoughts to the Borderline player idea myself. How about at the start of each season, any club with more than one team have to name a group of core players (maybe GK, 2 def, 4 middies and 2 attack) that can't play below the first team level, with the theory being that anyo...

Re: Results - 20 November 2010
I think we should implement the following. If any player exhibits any of the following skills, the player is disqualified and points awarded to the opposition: - East 3 - running with the ball in a non egg-and-spoon fashion East 2 - throwing and catching East 1 -throwing and catching with the wrong ...

You're normally alright as long as you park right at the edge and not too near the phone box

Re: SEMLA County Championships
Spencer and Hillcroft both fall within London Boroughs and are outside the county of Surrey. There could however be a London side including Hampstead also and the London University sides. I was going off traditional county lines - in the same way the Lancashire cricket play in what is now the count...

A Surrey team that contains the best players of Blues, Spencer and Hillcroft will take some beating

Re: Who's going to win the premiership this year?
Interesting that league Champions Welwyn get so few votes year after year. They edged us by a goal in one match last year and that goal won them the Prem, but their season came down to considerably more than that. We pushed them to the very end and they were forced to respond by not only keeping up...

Interesting it's only 13/1 for England to nab the gold, no offence to anyone but I'd have put it at much higher odds!
13/1 is way to short. If you can lay at that everyone should pile in

Re: EPSOM LACROSSE CLUB
Look forward to seeing you this season against our 3s matey. Good luck for the remaining games of course. S We won't be seeing them. East 2 is expanding this year: now with East 1, East 2, and East 3. Somehow Epsom got special privileges to start off in East 2. Colchester/East Coast merged and got ...

Penarth probably didn't fancy the cross-country trip. You know this do you? When I spoke the Penarth Captain last night they did want to come, but couldn't raise a side due to previous committments for a number of their players. In no way do I believe the didn't 'fancy it' Can't help but think ther...

Tough game for Spencer today, missing both players and numbers today, playing with 12. Welwyn were better than us in every area and fully deserved the win. Reckon they will take some stopping this year
